BIG DILL VS. T-PAIN:
THE DILLRECTOR’S CUT

With the launch of Chapter 6 Season 2 came a whole new cast of characters, but one unlikely hero quickly stole the spotlight: Big Dill — a clumsy, wannabe rapper— a 5'10" gherkin with an attitude bigger than his jar.

Fortnite approached us with the idea of building a full social campaign centered around this green bandit, and we were immediately intrigued. There was something irresistibly funny and chaotic about Big Dill’s persona, and we knew there was real creative gold to be mined from leaning fully into his larger-than-life ambitions.

We pitched a range of concepts that leaned into Big Dill’s slimy, over-the-top persona, but the idea that stuck was crafting a full-blown rap beef between Big Dill and a real-life musician. To our delight, Fortnite secured interest from one of our favorite artists — the legendary T-Pain, one of the most influential and prolific figures in modern music. Since the beef was meant to feel "real" on social media, we developed a behind-the-music style mockumentary, peeling back the curtain on the absurd drama that led to this chaotic showdown. This project was an absolute blast for our team. Collaborating with T-Pain — and getting him to deliver the ridiculous lines we wrote (and improv even funnier ones) — was truly an unforgettable experience.
